Thesis Six

A Companion Alongside Care

The 108 Epistemic Relationships within the Experience of Cancer

Thesis Six turns from the search for a cure to the person living with cancer. It is written for patients, families and caregivers, and for medical professionals open to a new form of support. It does not offer a treatment, and it never asks to replace one: it is a spiritual and relational companion within the continuing search, offered alongside appropriate medical assessment and care.

Its welcome begins with a simple recognition — that a person can be received without first having to explain everything they carry, and that a life is always larger than the condition being discussed. Silence, uncertainty, anger, tenderness or a lack of interest can all belong. No particular response is the price of admission.

The book holds 108 entries, built on the same architecture as Thesis Three and its Educational Guide. Four Wheels introduce it: the Nine Cosmic Laws; the Twelve Fields of Translation; the Twelve Human Approaches; and the 108 Relationships of Embodied Consciousness, which joins the three before it. Each of the twelve Relationships — a Field met through its Human Approach — is received through all nine Laws, giving twelve Modules of nine entries.

Each entry opens with a few gentle questions, tells a short parable from ordinary life — a carpenter and an old desk, two neighbours and a pot of soup, a shell on the shore — and lets the meaning of its Law meet the lived experience of cancer, closing with one freely chosen response. A reader may go in order, open the book at any page, or choose a number from 1 to 108 and turn to that entry.

Throughout, the book keeps the same boundaries: its reflections have not been established as treatments for cancer and carry no promise of cure; medical assessment and treatment remain matters for qualified clinicians in conversation with the person; and continuing illness is never treated as a sign of insufficient faith, effort or worth.

Thesis Six follows Thesis Five, which records honestly what the search for a scientific cure has and has not found.

The Four Wheels of this Thesis

These Theses are offered for education and contemplation. They are not medical advice, do not diagnose or treat any condition, and should never be used to delay, replace or change treatment recommended by a qualified clinician.
