Satellite IV of Twelve · Mount Shasta, Cascade Range
A solitary, still-active volcano held sacred by five peoples, and independently named the Om Crystal, 9-9-9.
There is no range to soften it. Mount Shasta stands almost alone above the northern California landscape, snow-capped through every season, a double-peaked stratovolcano rising 14,179 feet, with steam still rising from vents near Hotlum Cone and hot springs still running warm on its slopes.
Five distinct peoples — the Wintu, Karuk, Okwanuchu, Modoc, and Shastan — hold this mountain sacred, a status recognised on the National Register of Historic Places. Separately, the Nine Master Atlantean Crystal material names this same mountain the Om Crystal, 9-9-9 — one long-documented line of testimony and one esoteric, arriving independently at the same solitary peak.
From the Sun Disc's ground in Arkansas, this Satellite sits to the west-northwest, in the Cascade Range of northern California.
