Wheel Two of Thesis Nine · The Heart of the Twelve Modules
Twelve teachings on how people may gather in Love.
Wheel 2 of 4 · from Thesis 9 — The Living Human Christ Council.
Nine Laws, twelve Wellsprings, twelve Ripples and twelve Oases: within every Module, the Wellspring is the heart, the Ripple is the scene, the Oasis is the method and the Law is the lens.
The twelve Wellsprings are the heart of the twelve Modules. Each names a teaching about how people may gather in Love, drawn from Christ Returns – Speaks His Truth, received by the Recorder, and expressed here in this Thesis’s own words. The short plate name appears on the Wheel; the full name serves as the Module’s sub-header. The hub of the Wheel is Where Love Rises: every Wellspring is a place where Love comes up from beneath the surface of a gathering and begins to flow.
1 · One Rain — We Are One Rain
Every gathering begins from the recognition that its members, and everyone its decisions will reach, are at the root the same, as every drop of rain is the same rain whatever it falls on. Differences of colour, language and belief are real and are honoured, but they rest on a deeper sameness. (Letter 4)
2 · Inner World — The World We Carry Within
What people believe, fear and expect does not stay inside them. It enters the room and shapes what the gathering becomes. A New Group therefore attends to its inner life as carefully as to its business, knowing that the world it builds will resemble the world its members carry. (Letter 4; Message 11)
3 · Gratitude — Gathered in Gratitude and Stillness
Groups are invited to meet in thanksgiving and to meditate together in silence, so that what is highest in them may enter the life of the world. A gathering that begins by giving thanks begins from abundance rather than lack. (Letter 9)
4 · Listening Upward — Listening Upward First
Before a gathering seeks a solution among its own opinions, it turns in stillness towards a resolution greater than any of them. Only then does it listen across the table. This order protects the gathering from mistaking the strongest voice for the truest. (Letters 8 and 9; Messages 9 and 16)
5 · Every Voice — Every Voice Belongs
Every person is equal in soul and therefore equal in voice. Man and woman, newcomer and elder, the confident and the hesitant, all have the same right to be heard and the same responsibility to hear. A gathering is incomplete while any voice is missing. (Letters 6, 4 and 9)
6 · Whole Hearing — Hearing Each Other Whole
A person is heard whole when they are allowed to finish, when what they mean is received and not only what they say, and when the listener does not prepare a reply while they are speaking. “Listen, absorb, heed, make amends as far as possible.” (Letters 8 and 9)
7 · Open Hands — No Will Over Another
“Wherever a person exerts his ego over another, angry discords abound.” This is named in the ninth Letter as the very first Law of Existence. A gathering in which no member’s will is placed over another’s has already removed the root of most of its conflicts. (Letter 9)
8 · Right Values — What Is Right Before What Is Easy
Honesty, conscientious work, goodwill towards all and care for those with least take precedence over every consideration of expediency, whether in a small group, a community enterprise or a national endeavour. What is right comes before what is easy, even when it costs more. (Letter 9)
9 · Returning Gift — What We Give Comes Home
“It is impossible to give and not receive in return.” Whatever a gathering gives, in time, attention, resources or care, returns to it in some related form. A New Group gives first and trusts the return, without keeping accounts. (Letter 9; Message 11; Letters 1, 2 and 7)
10 · Life Tending — Life Tending Life
The Creative Power grows, nourishes, heals, protects and fulfils need. Of it Jesus says: “It works for us, in us, and through us.” A gathering that tends Life, in people, in the land, in creatures, is joining work that was already under way before it met. (Letter 1; the article Life More Abundant; Letter 5)
11 · Healing Hurt — Holding the Hurt We Have Caused
When someone tells a gathering how it has hurt them, the gathering is asked to “stand or sit still quietly,” to put aside its defence and receive the pain into its heart until it can sincerely make amends. This is the gathering’s greatest test, and its greatest opportunity. (Letter 9; Letters 4 and 2)
12 · Ocean of Love — The Ocean of Love
Each time love is held in the face of opposition, “a little oasis of Divine Love” is built that “does not dissolve.” As oases multiply, they become visible in public services, in new ethics and in the easing of poverty, until together they form an ocean. (Message 10)
