Sanctuary VII of Twelve · Tarim Basin, Xinjiang, China
A desert that keeps what it is given, at the heart of the ancient Silk Road.
This Sanctuary corrects an earlier working identification, previously drafted at Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. That correction comes directly from Peter's own source material — a working Grid Activation slide deck naming the Tarim Basin, Xinjiang, specifically and by name as the confirmed location.
The Tarim Basin is a vast desert basin ringed by the Tian Shan, Kunlun, Altun and Pamir ranges, holding the Taklamakan Desert at its centre — some 400,000 square kilometres, among the driest and largest sand deserts on Earth. It is also where the Tarim mummies were found: naturally desiccated remains roughly 4,000 years old, preserved by the desert's own extreme dryness. Silk Road oasis cities — Kashgar, Khotan, Turpan, the vanished Loulan near Lop Nur — ring its edges, each a place where the desert has kept, rather than erased, what was given to it.
In Peter's own working discernment, this Sanctuary carries the resonance of Cancer, Concentration by Consecration, Majestic Vista — unchanged by the location correction, and held with the same reminder to keep verified geography distinct from the wider “pyramid literature” that has grown up around this region of the world.
